HnExpress Web Desk News : Two Reuters journalists were injured when gunmen opened fire on them on their way to the Ukrainian city of Severodonetsk. However, the driver of the vehicle carrying them lost his life. Russia has been occupying the eastern city of Ukraine for weeks, with full-scale attacks.On Friday, Reuters photographer Alexander Ermochenko and cameraman Pavel Klimov were passing through a Russian-controlled section of the street between Sivieredonetsk and the city of Rubijn.



They were using vehicles provided by Russian-backed forces to travel. At that time the car fell into a collision. Reuters could not immediately confirm the name of the driver killed. The injured Ermochenko and Klimov were taken to a hospital in Rubijn. The Ukrainian Defense Ministry has not commented on the incident.Three months after the Russian invasion, the fateful battles of the war are now raging mainly in southeastern Ukraine.

Russia is trying to occupy the Donbass region of Ukraine, which is divided into Luhansk and Donetsk provinces. They are trying to encircle Ukrainian forces in an area. Last Thursday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that Russia now controls one-fifth of its territory.
