Singer Pratik Chowdhury has gone far beyond the delusion of the world

HnExpress Arjun Krishna Sikder, Kolkata : Popular singer Pratik Choudhury breathed his last 19th february. He was 55. The singer was rushed to a private hospital in the city after suffering a massive heart attack.

Choudhury was introduced to music by composer Debojyoti Mishra. He lent his voice to several films including Pataalghar, Sakhi Tumi Kar, Ek Je Aache Kanya, Tum Ele Tai, and several others. Many of his basic songs were big hits. He also sang regularly for TV commercials.

The singer sang the title song of several TV serials as well. The title song of Srimoti became particularly popular. He performed live at several prestigious events at home and abroad.

A statement issued by the hospital said that Choudhury was brought to the emergency department with cardiac arrest at around 7.23pm. He was immediately administered cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) which continued for 41 minutes. However, he did not respond to the treatment and was declared dead at around 8.04pm, the statement added.
