Shakti Prerana Samman and I – Shakti Puraskar conferred

Kolkata Nivedita Shakti (KNS) a national level women organisation conferred Shakti Prerana Samman to Dr. Kanchan Gaba, social activist, lawyer, motivational speaker, social entreprenur on Shakti Sthapana Divas at a program held at ICCR Kolkata recently.

Dr Kanchan Gaba born as normal child with normal eye sight but lost eye sight completely at a early age. Despite all odds, she has excelled in academics and many other co curricular activities. While receiving the award, Dr. Kanchan Gaba said” Women do not need empowerment by men as women already has power within themselves. Only women need to recognise it, uitilise it for self development and to make effort for social transformation and promote gender equality in life” I -Shakti Puraskar was awarded to Miss Harmehar Kaur Grewal.
