HnExpress 24/02/2019 Amrita Sikder, Kolkata : Bengal Optometric Conference (BOC) has organised the annual conference on 23rd and 24th February 2019 at “Rabindratirtha”, Newtown jointly by EIOA & GOA. The conference aims to enhance knowledge to professionals educators researchers and students including lecturer, scientific paper presentation, workshops, posters and model competition, and many more things.
The Joint Secretaries, BOC were Sri. Sanjay Kumar Das and Sri Kalidas Dey. On 23rd February, a traditional Ethnic designer fashion show has been organised called “Banglar Mukh”- Bengal Ethnic Fashion Fiesta 2K19, alongwith Wisdom felicitations ” Banglar Mukh Sanmanana” to famous Bengal Faces of various fields of BiswaBangla. There were total 95 models, 6 designers, 15 makeup artists, 25 photographers participated in this programme. Organiser & show director of the show was Dr. Arijit Kumar Neogy, founder Director of “Pragati Bangla”.
The main aim of the programme was to salute the rich heritage and culture of BiswaBangla & Great Bengali achievers. There were also a very strong social messages with autism, Down’s syndrome, mentally retarded, celebral palsy, wheelchairs and other differently abled participations at the show. There were celebrity show stoppers among them were Pandit Mallar Ghosh (tabla maestro), Sri. Arijit Dutta (producer and actor), Prof. Sujoy Biswas (CEO & director of Techno India University), Dr. Anjali Sengupta (Teacher of teachers, Fashion Guru), Smt. Suparna Mukherjee (Mrs. Asia Pacific Crown Ambassador 2018), Smt. Sangeeta Sinha (Miss India Universe Earth 2018), Sri. Prabir Sarkar (Athletic), Sri. Soumitra Roy (Bhoomi lead singer), Sri. Dibyendu Barua (Chess Grand master), Moubani Sorcar (actress and model), Mimi Das (State President of NHRO), Pratyush Ghosh (AGM of Metro Railways & others).

The Participated designers were, Sanjiv Pal, Debshila creations, Riya, Sonali, Tapas Das, Mrinal & Deborshi. Some of the showstoppers were Arijit Dutta, Rajiv Sharma, Argha Bhattacharya, Sri. Jee, Tanusri Sengupta & others Banglar Mukh was a grand success with participation of 25 Celebrities, Models & Designers.
