“Pandemic and Starvation Fight Against Both”

HnExpress 23/04/2020, Amrita Sikdar, Kolkata : Recently “Hold Hands for Humanity”, a social media group in Madhyamgram, took the lead in the fight against both pandemic and starvation. ‘Holding hands for humanity’ is a charitable organisation. Which has Been recognised officially by Ramkrishna Mission Joyrambati Authority.

‘Hold hands for humanity’ is helping people of Madhyamgram, Barasat, NewBarrackpore, Khardah in under north 24 Parganas district with the help of some local friends. They are distributing grocery items (mustard oil, rice, daal, potato, soybean and soap) to Ramkrishna Mission of different places under North 24 Parganas district.

In the first phase they gave to distribute the grocery items by Ramkrishna Mission, balokashram and Barasat Ramkrishna math among 200 families. In the Second Phase they distributed grocery items between more than 350 families the distribution has been made by Bamamnura Ramkrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission Sarada sevashram (Joyrambati), Khardah Rahara Ramakrishna Mission.

‘Hold hands for humanity’ distributed 1850 kgs of rice, 720 kgs of dal, 170 kgs of soybeans, 550 bottles of mustard oil, 550 kgs of potatoes, and 550 shops till today. Souvik Haldar the represented of ‘Holding hands for humanity’ Said, will distribute grocery items minimum thousand families or more within next three to four weeks.

If required they will arrange more food and money to fight against the pandemic and starvation both. So Request to all people to Be careful, Be safe and stay at home and fight Back together against COVID-19 or Novel Corona Virus.
