The campaign is focused at spending the joy of smile. Padma Shri. Usha Uthup was present in this event.

Mister Rajesh Krishnamurthy, business director consumer products division of the Himalaya Drug Company, started the event with sharing his view that ‘this year with our campaign “Ek Muktho Hanshi” we are committed to raising awareness in West Bengal about cleft and importance of early intervention to help children with cleft lead a happy and fulfilling life.’

Through this initiative more than 550 children has received cleft surgery till to date. Mr Philip Haydon, CEO of The Himalaya Drug Company also shares his view in this event. Mr Mamta Carroll, vice president and Regional Director of Asia, smile train, medical experts Dr. Partha Pratim Gupta, Institute of Child Health, and SA Faizal, CAMRI Hospital, Burdwan also attended the event.

Smile Train India introduced helpline number 1800 103 8301 for children with crefts. The surgery take around 10 to 15 days to recover. Smile train also provide transport and accommodation for the relatives of the child is required.
