HELD A HIGH LEVEL MEETING AT METRO RAIL BHAVAN : P. UDAY KUMAR REDDY
HnExpress Sitaram Agarwal, Kolkata : P. Uday Kumar Reddy, new General Manager, Metro Railway held a high level meeting with all Principal Heads of Departments at Metro Rail Bhavan yesterday after assuming the charge on 17th march. During this meeting,
he instructed all officers to re-dedicate themselves for further betterment of Metro services and work in tandem for ensuring highest passenger satisfaction. Shri Reddy joined Indian Railways as Special Class Railway Apprentice Batch, 1983 in Jamalpur.
He belongs to the 1986 batch of Indian Railways Service of Mechanical Engineers (IRSME). He carries a rich working experience, having worked in Eastern Railway, ICF/Chennai, South Central Railway and Southern Railway in various capacities. He started his career in Indian Railways as Assistant Works Manager (AWM),
Kanchrapara Workshop. Some of his important previous assignments have been Chairman, Railway Recruitment Board/Secunderabad and Railway Recruitment Board/Bangalore, Chief Administrative Officer/Integral Coach Factory (ICF)/Chennai, Chief Workshops Engineer/Southern Railway.
In his illustrious career, Shri Reddy has also served as Divisional Railway Manager, Tiruchirapalli/Southern Railway. During his tenure, Tiruchirapalli Division had shown exemplary improvement in passenger and freight traffic. He was also Chief Mechanical Engineer/Southern Railway and Chief Planning Engineer/ICF.
Prior to assuming the charge of General Manager, Metro Railway, he served as the Additional General Manager/South Central Railway, Secunderabad. Shri P Uday Kumar Reddy has undergone various training programmes on Leadership and Strategic Management in India and abroad.
