“Donation of organ and preservation facilities in the hospital of West Bengal”

HnExpress 15/06/2019, Amrita Sikder, Kolkata : Fortis Hospital organised is discussion over organ donation. The name of this program was” Bengal has heard to donate organs”. Dr Arpita Roy Choudhury Joint director of ROTTO and professor of nephrology, IPGMER SSKM, spoke about this organ donation process in West Bengal State.

There is a reservation against Donor maintenance cost. According to Dr Arpita Roy Chowdhury Maharashtra model could be followed which was created around 2008 to 2009 in respect of organ donation. The stakeholders come to a platform and created coppers with zonal transplant kodinal centre in Mumbai.

She also suggested that a meeting of the nodal person of private hospitals and all other stakeholders should happen sooner than letar to take forward the the proposal and see is feasibility. Dr Pradeep Kumar Mitra Director of Medical Education said the government is also trying to create a process by collecting funds to create and given to the concerned parties.

He also said about the lack of infrastructure. which is very important for this process identify brain death including other compensatory mechanism. Dr. Ajay Kumar Chakraborty Director of Health Service West Bengal mention here, vital role of media so that hospital and donors will come to know their recognition.Dr.

Tamal Kanti Ghosh Nodal Officer of ROTTO mention here we need to create a culture for donation of organs. And there is a need to create awareness. including this doctors so many other directors were also participated in this program to make this program successful and execute all this process for organ donation.
