Chinese Consul General in Kolkata visit Rakshak Foundation

Chinese Consul General H.E. Zha Liyou & Mrs Liyou visited Rakshak Foundation, a social entrepreneurship promoter, social work and think tank,
on 2nd April 2019 to interact and promote people to people contact.
They were accompanied by Chinese Consul Mr. Chao XIE. Rakshak Foundation has long association with China to work for upliftment of marginalised In Kolkata H.E. Mr. Liyou addressing the members of the foundation stressed on people to people contact between India & China Consul General H.E. Liyou said ” India & China are natural twin age with China with ocean in the East & India with ocean in the South.

China has setup three major objectives for human development across the nation :
-Socio-financial security.

-Food security.
-Environmental security & climate change. Chinese Ministries are working for poverty mitigation in all administrative units both in urban & rural areas in China.

There exist scope for sharing knowledge & technology between China & India at various level including municipal level to tackle various civic issues including waste management. “H.E. Mr Zha Liyou & his entourage visited various project run by Rakshak Foundation – New Horizon Computer Learning Center, Naba DishaTollygunge & “Sustainable Green Environment” project. His Excellency Mr. Liyou & Mrs. Liyou interacted with children of New Horizon Center & Naba Disha.
Naba Disha Tollygunge project is run in collaboration with Kolkata Police.

A dance performance was presented to the guests by children under training in various projects of Rakshak Foundation. Managing Trustee of Rakshak Foundation Ms. Chaitali Das made a multi media presentation on various social work & other activities conducted by the foundation. Mrs Alpana Roy Literacy -Chair, Rakshak Foundation made presentation about various literacy promotion programme organised by the foundation.
